As a way to unify efforts in response to the growing threat of wildfires across the nation, the Cohesive Strategy was formed.
"The Cohesive Strategy is a strategic push to work collaboratively among all stakeholders and across all landscapes to restore resilient landscapes, create fire adapted communities and improve wildfire response."
A few years ago, we joined coordination efforts with the Western Regional Strategy Committee (established in 2011) "to support and facilitate implementation of the National Cohesive Wildland Fire Management Strategy across the West", including Hawaii and the Pacific Islands.
