Volcano Community Fire Fuels Reduction Day

HWMO supports at-risk communities in responsible fire-fuels reduction and removal. Fire-fuels and green waste are often disposed incorrectly, if at all, causing real fire hazards near homes and ecosystems. Recently, HWMO’s Elizabeth Pickett met with the Volcano Community to organize an HWMO-sponsored Fire-Fuels Reduction Day that included a chipper for mulching fire-prone and dangerous snags and treefall. Special thanks to Jim Gail and John Lyle for helping coordinate the day!
